I was thinking a bit about how the emotions on the animated movie Inside Out could (maybe) speak out to us in different ways. Like, for example, I heard two different people say their least liked emotions were disgust and sadness, respectively, and I could imediatelly picture why they personally didn't like them as much.
So I stared to wonder: What about everyone else? Do you have any emotion (or anything else from the movie, really) that speaks out to you in a special, personal way? I'll start with my least favorite emotion from the movie: Anger. Why? I'll be honest, it's because I don't really understand it that well. It usually clouds my thinking and makes it difficult for me to think logically. It can make me very harsh, hostile and cynical, which is normally the opposite of what I try to be. I can end up doing or saying careless things and then immediatelly regretting them later. It can lead you astray and it can make it difficult to come back. You can see in the movie how it's quick to react and how it usually ends. I try to be calm and civil. Anger just seems to go against all of it. I guess it's necessary sometimes, but it still weirds me out a bit when I go from being angry to normal and think back on how my train of thought went while I was angry. It's unsettling. ____________________ "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass
