His music is great, even though I don't listen to it oftenly.

With some of his music I feel like it's a sort like him forcing himself to work through his writer's block; lyrically speaking there was a long stretch where a lot of them tended to go nowhere/be about nothing. That said, he clearly is a great songwriter in every other sense, and I enjoy his songs. I found him through his history of Japan video and his history videos still remain as my favorite content of his.
