I guess I was going to post this somewhere else but I figured this is probably a much more personal question than I anticipated
~/jul
is it considered plurality if one has a secondary personality in their head that they use to talk to themselves more comfortably? I never really thought much of it, but when I'm really not feeling well I tend to think as if I were two people arguing (which would probably be 'normal' if I didn't also think up an entire personality and name for this second person) It seems like there's some kind of range for this kind of thing? ie. "tulpa" refers to personalities imagined through meditation, "plural [system]" refers to perhaps multiple personalities that one acts as? and multiple personality disorder is when one dissociates against their ability to control(?) This kind of thing is confusing to me and I'm curious to know if there's actually terminology for it, and if it's actually well-understood or still a facet of the human mind being explored. (and for the record, I don't consider myself to have multiple personalities or anything like that, but... maybe that'll change?) ____________________
