[β] Coffee seems to be almost a necessity when it's rainy, and viable when it isn't, though we're not amazingly picky. Right now we just have a temporary stash of passable-but-mediocre Starbucks canned stuff in the fridge for easy access, and Medaglia d'Oro for instant.
Yeah, I know. >..> We're going to get a bottle of Chameleon cold brew concentrate next time we're at the hippie grocery, but then at some point we should really fix up our “making coffee at home” shtick, both for price and quality reasons.
The problem so far with making coffee (or tea) at home, though, isn't actually the effort of making it so much as that the result starts out hot. We tend to shy away from hot drinks because it's basically impossible to tell when they're safe, so unless we wait for them to be room-termperature it's a mouth-burning fiesta. It seems like cold brew might be simpler to make at home than we thought, though, so maybe that's the answer?
(Opinions from Real Coffee People appreciated.)
