He said the Dragoon parts were in it back when the stage builder came out, he even said how it works, I don't think that's pure chance.

I don't think anyone would have thought of that without actually knowing it. Its just too bizarre compared to everything else announced item-wise.

While I do question anything said regarding speculation, that had to be outside information. I wasn't even thinking anything from Air Ride would make its way in Brawl besides either a stage or music.

This post dates back to the days of the level editor announcement, we weren't able to play demos at all until much after that announcement. That, and the Smash Boards kept track of everything that was shown in the demos, not once was the Dragoon mentioned.

Don't presume that just because a character is of a certain theme they can't relate to abilities of their past incarnations. Developer's rarely care about keeping things pinpoint accurate in these types of games anyway, they go with what looks fun and what players will recognize.. and with Zelda, this would be something they'd recognize. Besides, isn't it already confirmed she's using the same moveset in Brawl (Din's Fire and all that) that she used in Melee? I don't see it as very likely that they cut the most critical feature she had and left the rest intact like this..

Not that I don't somewhat agree.. I don't necessarily think it suits the TP Zelda, but it does suit "Zelda" as a character, and that's pretty much all the reason they need to go with it.

As for Ness.. Lucas was sort of described as being different from Ness, yet similar. From looking over Lucas' moveset I can definitely see how the two would react differently to certain situations without even needing to overhaul Ness. Though that said, it wouldn't surprise me if he DID get an overhaul.. he has been one of the more awkward characters to learn in the series so far, so some fresh tweaking to his moves would bring a lot of life back into him. Besides, why remove the iconic Ness for some new guy? Especially since so far we've only had one Earthbound\Mother character in the series.. Lucas was the perfect excuse to have two, it'd be silly for him to completely replace Ness.

And I agree with 'tails (mind if I call you 'tails? =P) on this one, that is just waaaaaay too out there to be a coincidence.. I'm thinking I may have to take this stuff as fact.. And convincing me of it as fact is a pretty incredible thing all its own, I can't say I'd have ever taken this seriously otherwise.

Like 'Thyme (tee hee) said, Lucas is different from Ness anyway. Including both wouldn't violate any preconceived rules as to who can be included and who can't. Who remembers Luigi in the N64 game? He was basically a Mario clone with a more powerful Up+B move. In Melee, he had his moves changed around a bit and became an original character all in himself. True, true. Luigi did become different for Melee. His moveset is similar to Mario's but that's it, SIMILAR. Those similar ones have altered effects, making them unique in a different way.

Now, I wonder why they are doing no updates this week? It's not like its a holiday, and Christmas was a week ago. My best guess is that they're just taking a small break from the daily updates.

They've been updating the site every single day adding content to not just one part of the site but every site, meaning different translators for each site translating and different site managers (or whatever they are called) updating the site on their server by typing what the translators get and passing it to the site.

Plus its New Year's week. Why not let them take a week off to celebrate the new year? They've been updating since the start and haven't even taken a break yet, even when it was Christmas and such.

I'm having more dreams about this...The last one was how it sucked and how they "nerfed" Pikachus throw (Apparently it's grabbing speed was like a grandmothers).

Now that the game is closer to release, I'm losing interest, hopefully it kicks back up once it's out.
