| get it, the thread icon is a coin because clothes are expensive Hi. I have not, traditionally, been a very fashion-focused individual. This was not a symptom of disinterest so much as lacking a space in which to explore it. But then I moved away from my parents and got on estradiol and now I spend more money on clothing and makeup than I do videogames and I don't know who I am anymore. But at least whoever I am is someone stylish. There's probably some others here interested in this subject, I imagine? I haven't been around this community very long and my initial impression is that I think this is primarily a forum for talking about weather and what we're currently eating, which is cool, I like that, it's good, but maybe there's some room for this as well. Anyone get any cute outfits recently? Exploring or interested in exploring any new fashion avenues lately? Have any specific places you like to buy your clothing at? My sense of style is probably pretty obvious; Rambly here has called me 'goth queen' on the days on which I'm most dressed up. Black eyeliner, black clothing, black lipstick -- it's only within the last year or two that I've really been able to explore this style that I've loved since I was, what, 12? Incidentally, two downsides to the whole goth thing they don't tell you about: 1- our white haired cat ruins all of my outfits just by her looking at them, and 2- it is borderline impossible to discern any of my articles of clothing apart when picking them from the piles. But it's all worth it! Recently, I've been slowly adding red as an accent color, and it's working out very well. I'll kick the thread off with my recent outfit: ![]() Got these arm warmers from Amazon. Real cheap, mostly black with just a bit of red standing out. This is like my fourth pair of arm warmers or something. I, uh... I more or less just don't not wear arm warmers anymore. ![]() Choker! Looks cute, fits my neck perfectly, was real cheap on Amazon. Speaking of which, this is the first result if you search 'vampire choker' on there, which was the next best thing after 'demon choker' failed to result in anything interesting. ![]() This is my favorite shirt, at the moment. It was like $5 at my local thrift store and I felt like the luckiest trans girl in the world when I found it. All black, frilled shoulders, lace flower design around the neck. Wonderful. ![]() My most recent acquisition, and quite possibly my favorite on this list. This one was from eBay; the seller was named vampofvintage and the brand on the skirt itself is called Queen of Darkness, so you know this one is a winner. I love the asymmetrical belt pieces which serve no practical function whatsoever and are purely decorative. Easily the most pricey item here, but still fairly cheap; $20 or so. And, of course, here I am, in the fully assembled outfit. ![]() sorry for the crummy bathroom mirror selfie, I'm not gonna name names BUT SOMEONE WHO IS MY GIRLFRIEND DIDN'T FEEL LIKE TAKING PICTURES OF ME FOR THIS THREAD I'm incredibly happy with this outfit! So glad it all came together like this. I don't know how to end this opening post now so please reply and talk about clothes thank you bye |
