I guess they updated the default options for them; you could achieve relative smoothness before by using the scrolldelay and scrollamount values.

Here's what the old defaults used to be for non-Chrome, I assume:

amount 6, delay 85
amount 1, delay 1

amount 10, delay 500
amount 10, delay 1

I guess Chrome smoothed out entirely ... The delays aren't being respected at all any more, but still factor into the actual scrolling speed.

Well, whatever.
