I just use some of my renders as wallpapers. Sometimes I'll fart around in something like JWildfire and render out a batch of fractals all at once.

For anime and game wallpapers, I go to Danbooru or Konachan. Sometimes I make my own using different sources.

I use google search usually. 4chan has an entire forum dedicated to anime wallpapers which I find really useful but my school has blocked 4chan and I'm a boarding student so lol.

i just use any image big enough to fit my desktop res. oftentimes i'll just google image search something i think would be neat, set the minimum size to w/e my resolution is, and then use the "fill" fit position.

i used to use interfacelift but it seems like that just turned into one of those generic wallpaper portal sites you always see on google images

Google image search is great. Pick a subject, pick a resolution, pick a shade. I finally changed my wallpaper for the first time in about 10 months after upgrading to a QHD (2560x1440) monitor. My old one didn't have a higher resolution available so I had to go searching. I settled on the Deathstar from Rogue One.

I haven't really used anything but interfacelift since 2010. 1080p was pretty much the death of fun/fancy wallpapers for me.

It's a shame, really. There's all these old wallpapers that I used to like, but now that screens have gotten so big, they're just "normal image" sizes now, so to speak.

I haven't really found very much else to catch my fancy since about... late 2009-early 2010, I'd guess. Once in a while I'll find some other stuff, though.

The problem, honestly, is that there's no real way to have a different random image on each monitor.* You've gotta stitch them all together or just use multiple-monitor-spanning backgrounds. The former is what I've been doing, and the latter just doesn't catch my interest.

*this may have changed as of Windows 10, I guess. I don't run Windows anymore, so I honestly wouldn't know

...I'm also picky and can't stand things being scaled up, maybe it's just me. I actually started making wallpapers after playing with the idea of resizing something, because I wanted to use it as a wallpaper but it was too low-res.
