been on a bit of a Dinosaur Planet kick since finishing the transcript for the audio that was in the SFA e3 proto. been musing the idea of doing some conceptual studies for a fanmade recreation of DP; stuff like gameplay fundamentals, general design goals, character designs, and other DP/SFA studies based off the retail SFA and remnants of DP from the storyleak/screencaps+footage/SFA data leftovers.

the project is called "Story of Sauria" and can be viewed on tumblr. more to come soon, of course.

obviously i don't really expect any of this to go anywhere unless 2Tie plans on continuing their DP unity project (very minor stuff was done last i checked with them) or anyone decides on starting another DP recreation altogether. can't really actually make this a reality myself since i know nothing about unity or 3d gamedev or the like (honestly the most i could help with is writing and direction and a few other things i guess). still though, kinda fun studying parallels with DP and SFA (as well as zelda64 since DP's gameplay was heavily influenced by it).

lemme know what you guys think! i'm not heavy savvy with game design or development, just kind of a doof who really wants to see DP playable in some form or another someday. would greatly appreciate any questions, comments, or just general feedback on the project.
