Have you ever been to the Quad Cities before? They're on the Illinois and Iowa border and are equidistance to both Missouri and Wisconsin.

Have any of you guys been to the Quad Cities before? They are a region on the Illinois and Iowa border and feature the cities of Davenport, Iowa, Bettendorf Iowa, Rock Island Illinois, Moline Illinois and East Moline Illinois. They are also home to the John Deere Classic PGA golf tournament in Silvis, Illinois and the Bix 7 marathon race in Davenport, Iowa. They are also equidistance to Missouri and Wisconsin.

One of the cities was not originally part of the Quad Cities back in the day but no one knows which one it was (Davenport and Moline were for sure apart of the QC so that leaves Bettendorf, Rock Island and East Moline as the prime candidates for which one wasn't apart of the Quad Cities) I'll also give you a fun fact about nfl football. The first NFL game was most likely played in Rock Island however the kickoff time for the game wasn't listed on the historical records nor was the kickoff time listed for the other game being played which was taking place in Dayton Ohio meaning no one knows if the Rock Island Illinois game was the first or if it was the Dayton Ohio game. Actually, here are some more facts about my area that you may or may not have heard.

Pearl Jam played their 1996 album No Code in its entirety at the I Wireless Center in Moline (They even wrote a song about the city at the venue)

We may have been partially responsible for Prince's death as his plane made an emergency landing at the Quad Cities international airport for a medical emergency where he was transferred to Trinity Medical center 7th street campus.

Palmer College of Davenport Iowa invented Chiropractic care. They would also go on to own radio stations such as WHO in Des Moines and WOC FM and TV in Davenport (I think WMT from Cedar Rapids was owned by an unrelated Palmer Family but the wording isn't clear on their Wikipedia page) although they have since sold their stakes in the station to a company that is now known as I heart radio (WOC is now KWQC and is owned by Grey TV)

We invented the automatic bread slicer.

Julia Michaels, known for her hit song issues was born in Davenport.

The bassist for Neon Trees is also from Davenport.

3 years hollow is from the Quad Cities (Wikipedia doesn't list what city they're from)

Given I'm from Chicago I've heard of the Quad Cities constantly. In fact, I didn't even really realize that they were made out of different cities in different states.

That being said, I would roll through there on the Greyhound to and from California, though I can't say I've actually visited the place. Maybe soon, but I'm more interested in what California has to offer at this point.

You should totally plan a visit to the Quad Cities. They have a decent amount of fun things to do there. Their viewing area is very odd though as if you stay in Dubuque, you get the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids/Waterloo Iowa TV stations but if you stay 20 minutes southeast in Galena Illinois, you get the Quad Cities TV stations plus you get some Wisconsin TV channels up there as well (WISC CBS and a PBS also from Wisconsin. With the inclusion of WISC CBS, you had two CBS's due to WHBF also being apart of the cable package. I think we only had two PBS's though which was IPTV's KIIN which comes from Iowa City and the Wisconsin PBS. I don't think our WQPT and IPTV KQIN were on the cable package) And I should also note that I live in the Quad Cities if you didn't figure it out already.
