Even if you absolutely loath and hate driving and never plan to drive, a driver's license is like the "go to" to verify someone's identity. It could be argued that this reason alone is enough to want to have a driver's license.

If you drive enough (and choose good roads to travel on), it's pretty relaxing!

I often throw on a good podcast or some music depending on my mood and can drive hours at a time for leisure. It gets easier as you do it more often, especially as you grow more used to your car.

Living near pacific coast highway in California is a big plus as well.

Here, we have ID cards, so a driving license is mostly a 'second option'.

Well, yeah, I figure I'd need to get more experience with it (ie without SLOW DOWN ASKARLKALRKSLFJSLJF on the passenger seat).

Then again, I'd also need incentive to get a car, which for now is about none. I don't have the means to buy a car for now. I can get around with the tram. I also happen to have a bike.

Oh and if there's a thing I don't want to deal with, it'd be wasting time in traffic jams every day. Life is too precious to waste 1/4 of it like that. And talk of a pollution fest...

Initially, bad because I started off the year freaking out over a doctor's appointment (which was fine aside from me finding out my cholesterol was through the roof and I had to start dieting and taking meds to lower it) and feeling in general depressed and worried over job hunting. I started realizing that I could not enter the video game industry because 3D modeling as it turns out is very laborious and given AAA companies reluctance to keep employees around I'd probably not last, so around April-May I decided to switch my focus to graphic design and keep the game stuff on the back burner. Still felt horrible because job applications were making me sick and I was getting very pissed off over them constantly telling me to type stuff I had clearly listed on my resume.

It got better near the end of the year when I volunteered for OrlandoiX, which I initially was scared about but when I got there I met some very cool people and saw cool stuff, which made my horrible feelings begin to subside. The election stuff did scare me but the end of that week was Free Play Florida, another thing I volunteered for, and I met a bunch of really awesome folks there including some arcade fans I know from online + got to see a bunch of professional pinball players like Josh Sharpe and Jim Belsito in person. And then after that I found out there's a pinball arcade near me that completely kicks ass.

So basically it was a lot of low points that then became a high point and I'm okay with that.
