This is a thread where you can post the music you're listening to and share it with fellow Julers! When you do, preferably provide a Youtube link if you can. Discussion is encouraged! Don't just dump a link on us, let us know what you like about the song or comment on others' music!

EDIT: Alternatively, post in the old topic, which I failed to locate earlier.
---

Tonight I had a cover binge on Youtube and ended with this English Butter-Fly cover. I love Butter-Fly and this is the first time I've heard an English cover. I wasn't familiar with this instrumental version but the singing's nice! If you don't know, Butter-Fly is the opening song of the first Digimon season.

oops I'm going to be listening to digimon music for hours

This particlar instrumental is based on Tri's version actually. Which I actually haven't watched yet and should remedy. It's noticeably calmer than the original, but I still like it very much.

Jogeir Liljedahl!
It's ya know, old Amiga music
Here are some links:
Compilation 1
Compilation 2
Here are ALL of his modules!

I've also been listening to a bunch of Japanese Music lately, but it would take tons
of links to show them all..

Real Life - Send Me an Angel (1983)

I never hear this gem on the radio anymore ever since I moved (even further) south. What a pity

I love Jogeir. It's kind of a shame though that a fair number of his songs are Yoko Kanno-style uncredited cover versions with different titles and no mention of the original artist (some people might call that plagiarism, but that's an awfully strong word, isn't it?)

Lately I've been listening to Super Robot Pinball (a GBS). Most of its music is very short loops, on the order of single-digit seconds.

I have weird tastes.

Most of it is stuff from recent doujin events but there are some songs I haven't yet gotten tired of.

山本椛 ~~ 突撃!ガラスのニーソ姫! - long ver. -
Originally from IIDX, for whatever reason I'm a big fan of this silly song. Probably because I do like when ARM adds in some drum'n'bass stuff in his music.

めうめうぺったんたん!!
From the same album as above, but also an older song from a music game project consisting of a fictional band that I didn't know about. I don't know why I like this song. I guess I just like silly IOSYS songs. The video used in music games is also kind of cute.

Plan 8
Ok, it's still music game related, but at least it's hardcore. Really catchy gabber track, and I do like Ryu☆ a lot.

Credits EX
This is kind of relaxing in a way. Great track.

Journey to the Glory
I absolutely love t+pazolite. Most of his albums follow themes in terms of what they sound like, and this album has a fantasy-theme to it. I love this track the most though. It reminds me of something like Rhapsody or Luca Turilli but with a J-core kick.

Touch-Tone Telephone
Lemon Demon is always a bit nerdy. I mean, Neil did make a song about two trucks having sex and another that told the story of Jaws, but that's besides the point. I absolutely love how catchy this song is. I'm a sucker for it I guess.

Lone Digger
Ah, Caravan Palace is so fun. Electro swing that absolutely catchy and really nice. Maybe I'm just really into the swinging sound. It's different from their previous stuff a bit (such as Rock It For Me) but still has that nice electro swing sound.

I've been listening to げきおこ☆メイガス (the whole CD) every day on my drive to work. It's catchy.

I've been listening to random SNES soundtracks thanks to an Android app called ZXTune. Its got a browser with a nice amount of music to listen to whenever you want as well as the obviously ability to play local files.

Lots of varied stuff the past week.

Non-VGM:
Mostly ApproachingNirvana songs, Exhilarate, I Dream of Ibiza, Chasing Winter, Current (this one specially), etc.
Also a few other random ones, like Pump Up The Jam (thanks Girlydragon for reminding me of this song on another thread).

VGM:
Mario Golf - Toadstool Tour: ex. 1 2 3
Hebereke's Popoitto (SNES): How the heck do I even know this game is beyond me.
Mario Party 3: Mostly the mini-game songs.

Been looping a couple of things:

First, Carpenter Brut - Roller Mobster from the Hacknet OST. Definitely the best song on the OST, but everything else is great to listen to.

Secondly, Upbeat Depression - Ultra Violence from the Rocket Arena 3 soundtrack. The only bad thing about this song is that it's a perfect song for some amazing bass... but doesn't have any.

I'm still listening to vaporwave. Here are some tracks from the albums I've been listening to lately.

HOME - Resonance

Nouveau Life™ - A New Feeling

2814 - 遠くの愛好家 / Distant Lovers

There's something eerie yet nostalgic about this kind of music that gives me a strange feeling of comfort like nothing else.

I'm generally very late to the party, so it fits me well to start listening to one of the albums from the 90's that I've heard a lot about. So let me write a few things about this thing I finally listened to.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

A very interesting and bizarre album seemingly about childhood, sex, abuse, Anne Frank, and combinations of the former. During my first listen I thought it merely to be a rather good yet lo-fi album, but during subsequent listenings I sat down and really thought (or more like read) about the lyrics, and this album is quite the experience.

In some ways being this late to noticing this album feels a bit silly, and liking it feels a bit pretentious, but still, it was an enjoyable experience, but maybe not a fun one.

TheFatRat - Monody (feat. Laura Brehm)

I don't even remember how I found this song, but I really dig it. Some of the melodies in it remind me heavily of a song Kitsune^2 made too.

Home - Madeon (Video is a PMV, so..)

I've just been listening to lots of songs used in PMVs lately, but ones using Madeon music are always great to me. I like Madeon's work.

Also, song feels 100% relevant to me in many ways.
