| Hi! I am new here, as you can notice. I am no good at hexadecimal editing and etc. However, I love the Final Fantasy XIII Saga, and I am always urging to discover beta and unused contents, and glitches. I did a big research about the XIII series unused content, and I've discovered a few things about XIII-2. Also, big thanks to hedgehog89 and VIRGIN KLM for their hard work on, mainly, discovering the 7th ark thing. Now back to 13-2, I will start with the things that we can surely believe. The Ultimania game manual states, as many of you know, planned DLC for Hope and (another) Snow scenario. There are also illustrations and screenshots of unused content and ideas. You can see the images on the orginal source, at the end of this text. Also, before reading the rest, forgive my poor English. I am horrible at it XD Well, the Hope DLC, as many of you know, was to depict Hope trought the Augusta Tower solving live triggers, and if he fails, you was to get a Game Over. It looks there was already production for it. The Snow DLC was made too, but was scrapped. As many of you already know, he wa going to ride his motorcycle and defeat enemies in the Archylte Steppe. Curiously, the Archilte Steppe areas that appear on 13, but not 13-2. Done with the Scrapped DLCs... I should've probably had talked about this from the very start, but anyway...The Time Travel scenario just came later on development, the story was actually going to be 900AF. Just a fun fact...XD Back to the scrapped ideas. The Ultimania guide has illustrations of the Eden Ruins and states it was going to be a playable area. The Eden Ruins (IDK if the name is really like this) is the city that was merged with all the crystal of Lake Bresha after the Purge, on the original 13 game. Another idea was to make an stage where Eden City fell and merged with the Archylte Steppe. There is even a in-game screenshot showing Lightning (with her 13 clothes) standing in front of the ruins. The Eden ruins would be covered by vegetation. There was also concept art for Oerba in a ruin-ish and desert-ish state. It also has some parts of what looks to be rests of Orphan's Cradle. There is art of a scenario where the Archylte Steppe 900AF would had turned into a very industrialized city, similar to those on Cocoon. You could see time passing there, switching between day and/or sunset. A very interesting thing, there were ideas for Bresha Ruin in 500AF and 900AF. In 500AF it'd be similar to that of 10AF. In 900AF it would be inside water. The most interesting thing, that the team deleted because of lack of time, was the 13th Ark. A fully explorable 13th ark. It would be a drill-like structure building that would make the player dizzy and confused. There was going to have symbols on ground to help you locate yourself, tho. Like a maze, you should search for mysteres and hidden things. Platforms similar to those inside the Acdemia institute would make things easier for walking around. However, this model has the same basic boneset as Serah, and is almost fully compatible with all battle animations and Chocobo riding. She glitches on some misc. animation, but it is still possible to play without freezing, at least, on PC version. I tried Hex edit (tho I don't know nothing about it) on the X360 version, but I got freezes. I done it rwrong, I know, and IDK how to do it correctly. It is not really unused, as the model and some animations are used, but it is compatible with animations it is not intended to be...so, maybe, a bad use of a model? XD if this was DLC I'd buy. Also, a friend of mine also told me the Aquastrike, Water, Watera and Waterga spells are still present in it too, and are fully working. It is possible to use a tool to patch them into XIII-2 PC Version. Most models and textures of the previous game remains in this data. I guess it is just lazyness of the team involved with the game creation...Maybe not. The Hope model from FFXIII however was revamped, and this model was never used, just the adult version. Lightning's XIII model also got a revamp: better textures for clothes and some vertex edit on her sword "case". I am not sure if this one was used for the DLC scenario of Lightning and Amodar, but it is used once on the Dream World/Hollow Seclusion. I can't move my camera to notice if it is the revamp or the old. Lightning's, Vanille's, Fang's, Sazh's models are used. Snow's and Young Hope's aren't. There are unused/dummy accessories too, all named similar to this: acc_087_000. IDK more about them. There are unused/dummy weapons too, for bth Serah and Noel. Similar name rule of the accesories. I know some load their default weapon with different abilities. There are unused monster drops, like Faeryl Fang, Ripened Flan Juice, Gogmagogite and a few other. They are all components for weapon/accesories crafting. I will d more research later... I will try to rip models and other things if possible. Hope I will be able to.
