When I reading a news that tells Mega drive/Genesis is 27 years old now.

I noted a thing the VD of Sega America shows a ANOTHER prototype Sonic 3 or & knuckles which starts with level select when it starts up. Also this video shows another games in development state.

I found something interesting in a text dump of Big Sky Trooper on the SNES.
Cheaters never REALLY win, you know! 

But you DID score well on my tests,

so I guess you can join up as...

These lines come right before what is normally said after you put in your name (You scored SO HIGH on my tests that I'm going to start you off as... ...a 21-star GENERAL!) and fits right in with the next line so it's obvious where this goes. There's one more use of the word "cheating" later in the text during the ending dialog from the Secret Agent listing your achievements.

As far as I know there weren't any cheats released for this game, so it looks like there might be some undiscovered cheat codes to find here. Considering where the line about cheating comes in, my guess is the cheats are activated by name entry. I haven't found anything in the text that looks like a name entry cheat though.

Sometimes text like that is found if a checksum fails, so try some Action Replay codes and see what happens.

I figured out how to activate the cheat, but I'm unfamiliar with the game so I don't know what it does:

1) During the second test, choose the butterfly five times.
2) During the third test (name entry), enter the name FLIMFLAM.
3) Profit???

Hopefully you can figure out the rest from here!

Pressing start on controller 2 at any time gives you maximum health, suit power, fuel drums, smart bombs, spy fly eggs, neon signs, and transport relays. It doesn't give you the igniter or the incubator, so you can't actually use the fuel drums or spy fly right away. Pressing X on the map screen instantly teleports you to that planet, clears the surface, and deploys a transport relay. You can also skip the space combat mini-game with controller 2.

These are in the suit mode strings. This deserves some explaining because of how obtuse this game mechanic is. If you took a look at the game, you might have noticed that slider puzzle thing in the corner of the item screen. Once you've got suit modules, you have to mess with that slider puzzle to hook them up and activate different weapons and utilities. So yeah, you have to play a slider puzzle to change your weapon in this game.
The first two of those unused lines are probably error handlers for when modules get arranged in ways that aren't normally possible. The third one would have displayed if no modules are connected, but that would have made it impossible to see the name of the part you're highlighting.

Footage of an early build of Super Mario 64 (50% complete) from Shoshinkai 1995 was linked to over on ASSEMblergames, which can be found right here.

1) The Stage Select menu, for which text has been found and documented on TCRF, can be seen in action at ca. 6:21. I've added that to the article.

2) An on-screen minimap, not unlike that of Zelda OoT (especially earlier versions, with the topographical map), can be seen sliding in from the top of the screen at ca. 7:52, and reappears in another part of the footage at ca. 9:36. Has this ever been documented before, been seen in screenshots?

Never seen anything like it in any SM64 prerelease stuff, but it interesting to note that SM64DS has minimaps. Though they never looked like these ones (in the final or any prerelease footage I know of).

That Super Mario 64 footage reminds me of this Ocarina of Time footage where right at the start you can see the arrows connected to the six quest medallions on the item screen. That fits with the three unused damage types after the elemental arrows in the enemy damage charts.

So... according to Penny Arcade, Tycho and Gabe were almost in Minecraft: Story Mode as cameo characters. It seems they got so far as to record some lines for the game.

Knowing Telltale's penchant for leaving unused stuff in their games, the voice lines might still be in the game files. I don't own the game so I can't check, but it might be worth taking a look.

All of the unused enemies found in the SNES version of Umihara Kawase are included both in the DS and the fresh PC port of the game.
I can't confirm if they're fully functional in anything but the SNES game but at least the graphics are still there.

The Capcom Smiley™ has a friend in Wario Land 4.

The palette is from the debug room, except modified to make the borders black. This game has a lot of stuff, but this is the highlight for now.
