| Is there any particular guide/way of knowing to check if a game is reading pure garbage data? Or is it all up to perception/common sense? I've been going through a couple of Master System games, and some of them load some strange levels - Many of them appear to be garbage data, but on a couple of levels it feels as though the mapping belongs somewhere, if that makes sense. The tiles are all over the place, but aside from that, the map seems to be playable - and there's loads of 1-Ups all over the place, in a pattern that looks too neat to be garbage data. Also, in one of the games (Smurfs) I frequently end up in a small part of a full level - But the camera doesn't move. The possibly-garbage Bridge level actually disables the moving log, too. |
