Not necessarily a game I would recommend unless you like stupidly hard platformers, and it isn't something I'm going to sit down for hours on end to complete, but playing it for about 10-20 minutes at a time to make some progress is somewhat of a... fun thing I guess, even if I spend 10 minutes on the first boss and still fail to beat him.

Dota 2
Been playing All Random mostly. Last game was Luna and ended up getting really farmed. I still haven't done my 10 ranked matches to figure out my MMR, but most of my games on Dotabuff are considered High Skill, which is about 3.5k MMR? Not bad for someone who has only been playing for one year. It's still a fun game, even if it takes a bit to learn. The meta right now is complete horseshit though.

Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure
A cute action RPG kind of game. Not entirely difficult but it is pretty fun and it has a ton of personality I can get behind. I got a free key from helping it through Greenlight so that's a plus, but it is pretty worth it.

I'm crazy and managed to get platinum in Metal Gear Solid 2 in its HD collection this weekend.

I'm crazy and I'm about to get platinum in Demon's Souls.

A lot of GTA Online ever since it came out on PC. I haven't put this much time towards video games in such few days in a while, it partially makes me feel bad to be honest, there's that "oh you coulda used that time to do something hella better" guilt that pops up

got all of those platinum trophies within the past two months, I want to say... MGS2 happened first, then Demon's Souls, Bloodborne (just two weeks ago), Dark Souls II (which happened just a week ago), and Dark Souls 13 minutes ago.

I just finished passing all the songs on Normal Difficulty on Taiko No Tatsujin: Tiny Dragon and the Strange Orb.

Some of the 7-star ones are killing me already though. Dunno how I'm going to get full-combo clears on them yet!

Also I have a copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf now. I've been doing bits and pieces most days. It really does work on a portable.

I've dropped like 300 hours into New Leaf. No regrets, but I'm really burnt out on it. It was my first Animal Crossing game, but I've heard other people also say it works better on a handheld (which makes me a bit hesitant about a Wii U game).

I'm currently playing Etrian Odyssey Untold, another first jump for me into a series (kind of). Tried playing EO4 a little while back, but it didn't grab me. I feel like the story mode they added for Untold is almost essential.

Doesn't surprise me. I wouldn't have gotten New Leaf if I didn't get gifted a free copy from someone with extra Club Nintendo US rewards. The last time I picked up Animal Crossing was when the DS one happened (2004? 2005?) I haven't really played any in about a decade so it's nice to play again.

Got a PS4 and The Last of Us Remastered, which is surprisingly good. I thought it was just another zombie game. Happily surprised. Didn't get to play much of it because...

I bought Axiom Verge, which is a bloody brilliant game, and a great Metroid homage. Most of the way through it, but stopped playing, because...

Dad bought Dragon Age: Inquisition. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it very much, and then managed to sink over 40 hours of gametime in about 4 days. Whoops.

I watched GameGrumps play Duck Game and I knew I had to get it and now I have it and I love it. Too bad I don't have a USB controller, because the default keyboard controls are really awkward. But still, even though I'm bad at the game, I haven't laughed this much with a video game in a long time.

About a year late, but I finished Megaman with a Spade.

I like Shovel Knight more than any 'real' Megaman games I've played TBQH. And the ending is a genuine d'awww moment, which is nice.

After using some advanced launch options in ARK: Survival Evolved because the game runs as bad if not worse than DayZ SA by default, the game runs more acceptably, so I decided to get some hands-on with it in an official server with one of my friends.

Temperature spikes happened near the end of the session and a Level 46 player who looked like a fresh spawn killed us while gathering resources with that KOS mentality. Lesson learned; Never underestimate a fresh spawn as they can fuck you up when you let your guard down for even a second.

I managed to fell the Gooper Blooper with 7 stickers across 3 turns. I think that might be some kind of record, and yet:



Turn 1: Spinner Jackpot (POW Block, crumpled) + Boom Box + Shiny Frog Suit + Megaflash Hammer (Excellent, 97 damage)
Turn 2: Spinner Jackpot (POW Block, crumpled) + Shiny Frog Suit + 2 × Megaflash Hammer (Great, I think it was something like 83 damage each)
