I was poking inside the Castlevania 64 ROM and I found LOTS of programming code in plain text, but what caught my eye was something called "ERROR PRESS : ATARI_ONLY_WORK ERROR", "atari fault", among dozens of others.

What does Atari have to do with Castlevania?

Atari (from a Japanese verb meaning "to hit the target")

It's probably from one of these two meanings, nothing to do with the zombie company.
