| Hi everybody, Some months back I was ripping my PS2 discs so I could rip dummy files etc to shrink the size of the iso images and store them all into one portable HDD so I can play them when I travel. While I was investigating/browsing the contents of Digimon Data Squad, I found that there is a really weird file on the disc. The filename is "DMY1G.001" and it's roughly about 1,05GB. I gave a look to it and it looks like somekind of archive or iso image of a disc! The game doesn't seem to call any data from it so it's somekind of a filler/dummy file. Now trying to extract the contents of this file using a generic extractor seems to kinda work (it even extracts a file called "DMY1G.002") but it's not quite right, I can't explain why or what's wrong but you should better see it yourselfs. The contents of "DMY1G.001" seems to be somekind of an iso image of a PS2 game, no idea which though, you can check the ELF file for details. Since not all files extract (or extract correctly?) compiling the files into an iso and playing it on PCSX2 doesn't seem to work. The supposed disc also comes with a code "SLPS-12345" which looks like somekind of a rough disc, for sure something that is not a release candidate. I would like advanced data miners to give a look at it, I may be possibly missing something and this archive could possibly extract correctly after somekind of modification or something. |
