F-Zero GP Legend mentions e-Reader in the US version. At hex 542BF4 is the phrase "Download e-Reader card data." that would've been used by its main menu.
Plus a few associated graphics. "card e reader+ cup" & "card course"

The EU version has the graphics, but not the text.

I haven't found a code to try and force entry into the e-Reader menus, to see if they're present or do anything.

Pointlessly enough, both versions still have the Japanese equivalent of the "Nintendo, TV Tokyo, Ashipro, Dentsu" message.
As great as NOA and NOE cleaned up each other's stuff overall.

Speaking of that message, F-Zero Climax left in the English one. Not Japanese.

Hyrule Warriors model ripping is possible now. A significant portion of Darunia's texture is dedicated to the original N64 model's texturing, which is not mapped to any part of the final model.

What the heck is textbox type 5 in Pokémon Red?

The stuff behind it (box with numbers) is something I added to test things. Textbox type 5 shows up like this; a 15x18 box with some spaces dropped on its border. No other box has a broken border, and I don't know where I've seen a box matching that size/position in the game.

Turns out mochimono is actually the japanese term for held item.

There doesn't seem to be code which uses it in English Red, but I'm yet to check Green (the memory is offset).

EDIT: Text box $12 is also curious and unused.

While messing around with Gun.Smoke (USA) for the NES, I've stumbled across a few things. There's a push-button cheat for being able to aim using the d-pad on GameFaqs. The RAM address is 004C for that cheat. By changing nearby address found a few more effects that may have another way to enable.

$49 is the Wanted Poster, which you need to find/buy in order to fight the boss of each stage. $4B is set to 02 when you defeat a boss (no other code in the ROM sets this value). Not sure about $4A, I'm not familiar enough with the game to know if this is ever normally set.

Also you can use :meow: to make a smiley instead of ":3". Just in case you didn't know...there's also a smilies chart on the menu at the top of the page which includes the now defunct :rofl: smiley.
