Fire Emblem Awakening is currently being looked into, unused skills, older graphics, three unused character names, and an earlier design for Gangrel have been found (looks closer to the Trickster class design). Also some unused/early chapter title designs, unlike anything found in final game.

In X-Men VS. Street Fighter, there's an unused continue message that says "X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER COMING SOON" that appeared randomly which can be done by having both players pick Apocalypse and have both players ending the fight with a draw, as soon after the countdown goes to 5, it'll come up with this:

I don't have Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance anymore to check, but I recall there being a file on the disc with a server address. When connected to, it said "test," or something extra along those lines. If memory also serves me correctly, it was for GameSpot. Oops?

Managed to get Splatterhouse 2010's June Beta to give up it's achievements. Even though the game was nowhere near complete at this point, it had them programmed in with a placeholder image, and some of them with placeholder goals. Something else interesting is that many of these achievements seem to reflect the bottlerocket version of the game, as they still mention things such as Clawface and the Wickerman, and have a different level layout. Figure some of you might find them neat:

I think this was mentioned before somewhere, but the infamous original Fire Temple chant used in the first revisions of OoT is actually still present and used in the Shadow Temple/Bottom of the Well theme in all versions of the game (including the 3DS version, as evident with the fact that the samples still exist in that version too). It's used right here, just slowed down:

Colony Wars: Red Sun's demo (part of OUSPSM Demo Disc Volume 31) seems to have either some developer text left over or isn't really hiding it's files. I know there are references to height maps, .bmp texture names, NPC definitions (the Empiret Escort Stompers featured in one of the early game missions seems to have a basic GP Laser loaded but it never shoots back at anything in-game, I suspect it's been soft dummied out), animation names for that NPC. Every single in-game communication message, possibly text for a model viewer, and what might be a dev-specific list of weapon names since in-game calls up different names for some weapons.

There seem to be a few unused\unusable by the player entries in here as well. Such as the MK II and MK III supercooled versions of the various Laser types.. The Turret Laser (I think it's a purple shot fired by, well, turrets) and SAAD Laser (the SAAD enemies fire bright red bolts at you, along with missiles), Light Mine (I think this might be the name for the 'Orbital Strike' projectiles since I don't recall any mine weapons in Red Sun), and the Distress Flare (used by the General in a mission, is bright yellow), the PD and WP Beacon types, AM Pod, I'm not sure if 'Photon Torpedo' is actually a weapon at all, weak NPC-unique versions of various basic weapons, and the Sha'Har Grapple is only called 'Death Ray' when the player is able to use it.

EDIT: This is what appears to be a source script for the mission 'Escort Duty'. Of additional note, the 'Supercooled GP Laser MK III' items and such are stored in the middle of menu text. Perhaps they were developer-only debug super weapons.

Bulletstorm (USA PS3) was patched for Japanese support.
No idea about PAL copies, or precisely which update added it.

And all I have to say is: Mother. Of. God. I bet every screenshot there is of a beta build! There's even debug text on one of them!

I don't know which page to try writing first. The prerelease or a prototype page for the demo.

Found more stuff in BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2. Mute City II and III leftovers took poking around Grand Prix mode, instead of Practice Mode.

Update: Records mode netted me things from Red Canyon I and II, White Land I, and Death Wind II.

That reminds me. A few years ago, I was going through screenshots of Golden Sun on RPGamer. A lot of the shots show minute differences, the most obvious being Mia inplace of Jenna, in the earliest screenshots. She's even seen in prologue Vale at the beginning of the game.

That's odd. They both look a bit 2D to me, but I don't know where the game would keep those, unless they are part of the stage model/skybox.
