I started attempting to map some of the stages yesterday. Here's Cut Man's stage. Also the last few screens of Elec Man and Ice Man's stages, since those appear to be the only spots with layout differences.

And for reference, here's Chris Covell's page documenting his proto.

Quickly patched Wily's Toolbox to support the proto, should work fine: http://magicstone.de/dzd/random/wily/WilysToolbox-v06-test-RMWProto.rar

Still need to rewrite that editor someday, it's pretty horrible...

Edit, in fact, that build probably has more features in general compared to the last one I posted years ago...

Interesting note: The alternateFire Man stage is also in the proto, and it's identical to what's found in the final version.

Other notes:
*A lot of object palette changes. The Time Stopper's sparklers, for instance, are white in the prototype and black in the final game.
*The Carry item is in the game, but it's bugged. It's always on the same place relative to the screen, so in scrolling areas you can actually move around with it. I doubt this was intended, since in fixed areas it's stationary.
*The Mirror Buster doesn't work at all, though there's space for it. It uses a placeholder sprite that, like Carry, stays in the same place relative to the screen. It doesn't use any energy and you can't switch out of it until you enter a new area.
