So my friend Arasoi decided to release this awesome little thing here to the masses that he got off a Japanese auction.

This here is the real deal, the unreleased Japanese ROM of Strider! There's some differences and changes from the final as well, including some content cut from the U.S. released.

The whole thing is even buggier than the U.S. release, which is saying something! While I'm going to be putting this up on TCRF in the near future as far as differences and happy stuff goes, feel free to investigate things in the meantime.

First Monster Party, then Strider. Two games in the hands of proto hoarders for years, now released to the public! What's next, a Mega Man 4 sample cart? (No really, I wish. )

If we're asking for miracles here, I'd like to see that Famicom Love Quest actually.
(we're probably not going to get more than the 20 minute video that has been released)

Hi, I was wondering if anyone figured out if the ending still exists in this proto and if anyone figured out how to access it yet (JSR to some memory address?)

I think BMF looked into it once and found absolutely no trace of the ending in this.

It's been a while, and I really wanna sit down and document this proto as far as my own ability allows, but my limited free time with work makes doing this like...really stupid.

I also actually own the prototype now too, so I can play it on the console and find differences! Though that doesn't help in taking emulator screenshots for TCRF...
