ALSO! I'm in need of some assistance. I want to rip the textures/ sprites from the PSP version. Capcom replaced many logos from real-world products with generic things in the PSP ports. I want to start documenting those changes, but I need rips.

What is the best way to rip PSP assets?

Fascinating finds! I'm a huge fan of the Legends series so these mean a lot to me. The tower on Glyde's illustrations highly resembles Nino Island in the final.

With the very limited Japanese I have (mostly katakana), I can make out some words in the following text. Hopefully, my examination will be of some use as I did had to resort to online sources for hiragana. Somebody with real Japanese-speaking experience should formally translate these texts.

My first post on this forum, but I could have my instructor take a look at this. Her first language is Japanese, so she may be able to assist with translation.

-EDIT-
She took a look at it. She needed context as to why it made no sense, so I explained the game and shared pictures and she understood.

Her translation for the first one was: "Play the game you like. Old Boss is strong. Let's get him. Let's get the Big Bird."
Second translation was: "Let's protect the Nino Island. Let's get the twins: Appo and Da."

Oh, and in case there's confusion regarding who I am, I'm Chris, and I've been looking into the Legends 2 Debug build lately...

This does not really mean anything important. Those 5 Japanese letters look like "チカゲート", チカ is 地下. It's something like "underground". ゲート is Katakanized English for "Gate". So it might mean an underground gate.

The image right above the text might be the texture used by this black gate in Downtown, which does allow access to an underground area, so that would make perfect sense:
