I found out about TCRF by snooping around one of GoldS's profiles.

Then I snuck onto the forums and solely posted on the forum for the wiki. Then I expanded out.

The rest is history! Or maybe not! Who knows! Maybe I'm snooping through GoldS's stuff still

A loooooong string of messageboards led me here, starting with either Bastardly Productions or Zophar's Message Domain (Acmlm was a member of both) some 15 years ago. I've been rollin' with the posse ever since.

I figure this is as good a place as any to introduce myself. I'm Kenta, aspiring video game composer and amature Super Metroid/Zero Mission hacker. I am familiar with some faces here, from the Metroid Construction IRC and forum. I found out about here a long time ago from someone I honestly don't remember, but ran across it today and said why not.

Found a link to Acmlm Board, I think, Incarnation 3 from Samus.co.uk while looking at Super Metroid Hacks. Then the stuff happened and I wound up here in Summer of 07.

I was part of a different board (acmlm, 3rd incarnation probably) from like twenty centuries back or so... Well now that long ago but it was definitely sometime before board2 or whatevs.

...That, and part of it may as well also fall under 'blame Metal' because part of it was that back then I also just kind had this habit of following him around, so.

my friend Bloodstar (who I've been friends with for, like, holy fuck, more than ten years now, somehow, which boggles my mind -- remembering that fact and how many Internet Storms we've weathered without losing contact with one another is one of the increasingly-few things that makes me genuinely happy) along with some dude named Mr. Z got me into SMW ROM Hacking back in like 2004, and then I made a few levels but mostly lurked on and off for a few years, and then he's like "hey there's this subcommunity where all the cool people are and it's called Justus League you should hang around it" and I'm like "sure" and that subcommunity sort of evolved into this board and not only that but what was essentially the latest Acmlm's Board incarnation pretty much died around that time so I migrated over here.

assuming my memory's right, anyway. I could be wrong about a few details.

I used to be a Vizzed member, but then somehow my group of friends from Vizzed started to migrate from that forum because it was full of idiots and I just followed. I can't recall correctly but it was either Nksor or The Red Snifit who introduced me to Jul. Forgive me, my memory isn't like it was then... but I do remember that for a period of time, I was a member of both forums then I decided to quit Vizzed and be a official member of Jul.
So here I am.

I remember toying with Toad's Tool 64 back in 2007/2008 and a link went to here filled with useful tidbits for the basics.

Then i sort of got into exploring unused content in general and X-Cult was already a dead husk by the time i started. Lo and behold i found TCRF and the bursting amount of info flowing from it when i was looking to see if anyone had found the other debug rooms for Wind Waker.

This, Sonic Retro and TAS videos/AGDQ/SGDQ have kept me coming back since, even if i do forget to
login 99% of the time.
