| While I appreciate the attempt to help, things like this shall be dealt with in the stickies (mostly) from now on. -Metal_Man88 Alright, I'm making this thread, because I find too many of the posted SM64 hacks to be nothing but random. I advise everyone to go and try to be creative, as in when you mod a level, it should be better then what you started out with, but without the utter randomness, it's been done too many times, and it just isn't that great. Also, I already know TT64 is still limited, but that is no excuse to have flying pipes, badly placed doors, hovering gates/bars, bad grammar in hacks, and slides with nothing but an army of one common enemy added in. What should be done in a hack instead? Well for one, Behaviours for objects would make sence/work perfectly. Object Positions would be logical, and work for the level, as in gameplay and style. If you want to do something odd, do it, but make it fun, a good example is the flying bowser puzzle, even though the hack itself was not good, that one part was fun and it worked nicly in my opinion. Overall, it would be as if you made a attempt to make a Mario 64 Masterquest. I do not intend to insult anyone, but simply point out that they can do better, be creative, make something that stands out. If this thread makes at least one good hack appear, then I at least made one small difference for the better. ____________________ Why are you reading this? ![]() |
