I just got caught in work's security doors. They did something weird and closed on me. I don't think I'm too badly hurt, just bruised. Ow.

Heh, I'm always slightly spooked that I'll get caught under the door at work on the way out at night, considering it's an overhead door intended for cars. You lock all the other doors, open one of those, hit the close button, and dash out before it closes, then the only way back in requires a key. I wouldn't be surprised if this violates some safety regulation - my backpack's nearly been caught on it a few times - but it works.

Of course if they're competent at all, the door would stop and reverse almost immediately after hitting me, so it wouldn't be too bad anyway.

Our security doors are these hard glass things that you have to swipe your HID to get through. The little glass doors open out sideways then slide sharply in sideways again to close. They don't give you much time, and sometimes they bug out.

That one just bugged out. I'm nice and bruised.

Let's see...

1. When I was five my brother swung me off the hammock and I almost broke my nose. Apparently I wanted him to "swing me all the way to the North Pole." I went anywhere but north. Bruised my face up pretty nastily that time.

2. I fell in a pool once when I was younger. Diving of course. And there was a no-dive rule at the pool too. I confidently took several leaps into the pool, and on the last one, I slipped and fell right on my back. I think my dad said something along the lines of "Thank Jesus you're still here." Not meaning my dad was thankful, meaning I should thank Jesus .

3. In another attempt to be a hotshot, when I was working as a counselor at a playground summer camp, I would often walk down the curved ladder in the playground while chasing after kids. Of course though, all good things come to an end. I was playing tag with some kid one day, and this time I ran down the ladder, and, well, you do the math. Fractured my knee that time. That was the worst one.
