The movie was on the other day, and made me want to play this game again. There's some things regarding the cut parade level on the wiki, but there was some other stuff buried elsewhere.

Images

In W32ART:
root
invalid_360_texture

art/char/ghosts/parade/queen
body_diff

In W32ART02:
root
placeholder
previs_wall3 -> can be seen in some of the concept art
previs_wall4 -> can be seen in some of the concept are

art/ui
controller_layout_demo_ps3
eoms_balloonanimals
eoms_blinkers
hb_spirits_balloonanimals
hud_dodge_a
-there's some other ones related to that A, but I only uploaded the A one at the moment
lockedps3
-There's also one meant for the 360, that looks exactly the same as the general one listed for the PC

load_electron
load_neutron
load_proton
load_slime
-For all of these, they state "All dialog, voiceover, and signs are placeholder." I'm guessing these were used in some kind of demo?

playstation_buttons
_tmp_loadscreenie

Either there was PS3 controller support planned, or the PS3 stuff is just a leftover in the port job. I'm willing to bet the latter.

art/test
test_texture -> can be seen in some of the concept art

art/parade
book_bro_diff
calender_broc_diff
-The pin-up is based on (NSFW?)this work by Peter Driben

art/parade/bs
par_bs_win3_diff

->The art/parade folder also has textures for buildings, but I didn't bother to upload those, since, well, they're bricks. There's also a few textures for things inside Ray's shop.

Not leftovers, but:
Both from: W32ART02/art/timessquare
nysigns_diff
-Pretty sure the guy on the missing poster is the same one on the broccoli book

timesscrollsign_diff
-Slight, possible reference to the Thanksgiving parade?

Other Stuff

->SMP is the sound/music file format for Ghostbusters. SMP files can be played with vgmstream. However, I've uploaded MP3 copies, made with the default settings in Winamp's Disk Writer plugin for those that don't want to bother with vgmstream.

Parade Level Ambiance:
[smp][mp3]
-Archive contains *.smp/*.mp3 files for the parade level ambiance. You can play smp files with vgmstream.

The one thing I haven't looked into yet are all the text files for the subtitles, since there do appear to be some that have leftover content.

Here's an archive with all of them

There are files related to the parade level, meaning all of that is unused:
parade1_diag.txt
parade2.txt
parade2_diag.txt
parade3.txt
parade3_diag.txt

There are corresponding voiceovers for each line of dialog listed in the parade files, listed for each character in W32ENSND:
Egon - SMP MP3
Peter - SMP MP3
Ray - SMP MP3
->Winston doesn't have any lines in the level
->There's also lines listed in the root directory for the "crowd," and I'm not quite sure if they're related to the parade level or just general noises from NPCs. I haven't gotten that far in my replay of GB to make that distinction just yet.

As said on the TCRF talk page, Spook Central has a good run down on the videos that are unused, as well as some other leftovers detailed in the "Missing Features" tab.

... yeah, I was working on a huge update to the page but I kinda got distracted.

http://tcrf.net/User:Foxhack/Sandbox/Ghostbusters

I already have a ton of these catalogued somewhere. It's just that my computer putters along and doesn't like me messing around with the game's textures that much.

There's a lot more than the stuff you posted. I might get to it one day. I might not. Eh.

Well, outside the unused soundfiles on your talk page, what else is missing? I skipped over some of the textures since I wasn't too sure they were unused. I know there are parade models, but do we have any way of viewing them?

EDIT: Also forgot about the large list of achievement icons with different styles. Since the Steam version seems to have gotten rid of achievements, I'm not exactly sure which ones are used in the PC release.

There's demo version files, some graphics from really early versions of the game (that still have the SIERRA LOGOS), quite a few audio files, hidden features and messages in textures, the subtitles, there's subtitles for a really early test level where Egon broke the 4th wall, there's files for a test level too (but I have no idea how to access it). I think there's a few textures for Ray's Occult Book Store too, but I think most of the underground section of the level was repurposed in other areas.

I've also ripped and encoded the audio files into OGG using some conversion tools, so there's little quality loss.

The Steam / PC version does not have achievements or online multiplayer (screw you, Terminal Reality, you lazy schmucks), so a lot of those multiplayer enemy icons aren't used and are leftovers. The Blinkers one (and all the ones in the same region / similar file names) are early versions and are not used in any version of the game, but, there's also leftovers from the console versions. Since I don't have any console version I don't know which are actually used there or which are leftovers from earlier versions.

My big problem is how the hell am I going to handle over 1000 different unused vocal samples in the wiki?!

Edit:
And you know what's actually neat? The Steam version returned to the store today. Woohoo.

You guys don't happen to have file listings and what is contained in what, do you? Or filesizes for the X360 build? I know some are obviously sound, etc, but do we know what the main level is? I ask because I do have a late beta version of the 360 version, doesn't contain any extra parade movies though. I should really just pick up a retail copy to compare I guess.

Upload an archive with the sounds and let people sort through it themselves. We don't need thousands of embedded voice clips on a page (can browsers even handle that without crashing or grinding to a halt?).

I was actually thinking more along the line of "how am I going to transcribe all of that?!" rather than upload all voice clips. I don't plan on uploading everything - the majority of the unused lines that I found are the same line, spoken by several different actors multiple times. I also wouldn't upload over 500 MB of unused voice data to the wiki. It would be insane... Not to mention far beyond what could be considered "fair use". Just imagine how much bandwidth that would chew, and it would take me weeks to upload on my crap connection.

The stuff I -would- upload and embed in a page would be the completely unused bits of story as told by the main cast, and probably references to cut bits of the story as told by the NPCs (there's a bit in an elevator which was much longer, and you only get to hear one or two lines in the game). Most of that would be within subpages to prevent any crashing browsers.
