I'm curious if anyone's done research into if there's unused content in King's Field, the US version of King's Field 2 in Japan.

I think I remember reading something about an unused item or two when I was looking for some faqs a while back. I played through the first three King's Field games and most of the fourth on PS2 before I lost interest. There was also the game creator program released for the PC which included a remake of the first King's Field game, and that might be worth looking into.

Item modifiers, enemy modifiers,spell modifiers, and actor modifiers would be perhaps the easiest and best thing to look into first, considering the nature of the games. The levels seem to all be cell-based, like Bethesda games, so I wouldn't expect much in the way of unused areas... but maybe some unused building cells.

I can't recall specifics of KF2, but I've dived into the graphics of all the games and the text was stored as image files. There was talk of some monster or item descriptions that went unused if you used the scrying glass (whatever item it was that gave you in-depth descriptions of things). I used to know the games inside out but that was a long time ago, someone with more recent memories might want to check them instead.
