Another round?
Yes please.

This is something, that I would wish to be done, when I die. (since i had a plan to forge a sword and place my skull on the hilt, but this fits better )

What do you think about it? Could you become a diamond, instead of just being dumped in the ground?

That's neat, but greed could be a real problem.

Or with particularly stupid people, a solution. "I need money... I know, I'll turn myself into a diamond!"

No idea how much that kind of thing would cost. I probably missed it, but the article doesn't seem to say.

I guess it's a nice idea to want to leave something behind for your family, but it's a little bit creepy too.

Actually I'd be interested in the real outcome, as the images usually show "perfect" diamonds - and they also offer to create gems from a whisp of hair (DNA -> diamond?). Of course the prices are exorbitantly high, but dealing with death is a costly thing anyway (funerals expenses, burial ...).

As for me, I would not like to choose that kind when it's my time (since I think this kind of jewellery is kinda off, although I don't believe in God), but that is a personal thing anyway.

Tombstones can be crumbled, but diamonds?

It would be lovely to see my grandchildrens:

"Mummy, can we play with grandpa sword today?"

Except you wouldn't see them because you're dead.

That is very interesting. Although like others I have no idea what I want to happen to my corpse after I die. I'll probably just get a proper burial or something like that

I wish it was an option to be buried without a coffin. They're so bad for the environment, especially the metal ones since they never break down. A human body laying in the ground bare, however, will. It'll get broken down and decomposed entirely and become part of the dirt again. Also, coffins are horrendously overpriced. I want the cheapest burial possible. I don't want some long drawn out service, no embalming, nothing. Maybe just a small thing at someone's house and have me thrown in a hole.

Even if that is what you want, your friends and/or family will probably say "that's not what he really wanted" and have an overly formal, excessively expensive funeral anyway. =/

You know, if someone was rich/dedicated&rich enough, they could probably make a golden family tree, and place the diamond of each family member in their spot after they died. It would be kinda nice, in a creepy way.

I don't think I'd want to be turned into a diamond. I might get stolen. D:

But if I did, I'd want to be orange. :3

I heard that every person has it's own shade of color. In the diamond (if its colored duh)

I would rather want a green one...

And Peardian's family tree idea is neat, if not a bit morbid

I'd probably look into this if it wasn't too expensive, if only because I'd personally prefer cremation anyway Being left to rot is kind of disgusting, as opposed to just being roasted into nothing.

I wonder if insurance companies will now use this as a factor of how much someone is worth You know, punitive damanges are calculated based on the estimated amount of money someone would earn over their lifetime. It seems that this will be an easier way to do it.
