I've almost finished making a video about random games on my Emulation folder. (Like Bomberman, SMB1, Legend of Zelda, Pac Man...)
This means I had to wander randomly through my collection. :/

Yesterday, I streamed a blind playthrough of Batman: Arkham City for about ten hours, then kept playing for a couple more afterwards. Pretty fun game, a couple of those trophies had me stumped for a bit. :3

To make up for it, I made another playthrough of the first Wario Land... this time without getting hit!

Also, some extras are currently planned, but I'm not spoiling them.
LET'S TRY AND CHALLENGE (about the video editing... ugh... and then adding annotations...).

Talk about variety...but it's still one of the best games in my collection.

Grabbed NES Remix on my Wii U. Infuriating bastard. I also now know I'll likely never play Ice Climbers. Also disappointed at the apparent lack of Metroid on there.

I also recently bought Saints Row IV. Goddamn, I don't know how they managed to improve on III, but they certainly did. And, dubstep guns.

I was on stream earlier and played a bunch of Mario 64 hacks I found from a torrent collection of them. Poorly textured 3D is incredible. It creates a feeling that’s very different from, say, bad 2D sprites. I think it has to do with the concept of uncanny valley and the creepiness creates comedic tension. It’s actually way more fun than SMW hacks. I need to find more!

I got it for Christmas. They certainly didn't improve on the controls (at least not over the PC version).

I didn't have a problem with the PC controls. However, on that subject, I did buy Deadpool on Steam. Even though it's incredibly amusing, the controls are terrible. N to switch weapons, U to interact with things, B to teleport... this wouldn't be a problem if remapping wasn't an exercise in futility. I think next time I play, I'll try it with my 360 controller plugged in and see if it detects it.

Well, keys that can be remapped (and if the key config can be saved) is one of the most important things in PC games.

This is because I'm used to the MAME controls (Arrows + A S D F) or NES/GB (Arrows + X Z) and nothing else. I typically try to remap games to those "configurations" and when it fails (see the many shit DOS games) the game gets deleted on sight.
