Mine is only a little cluttered, but I can clean it up real easy. Still, it's number 33, so it isn't too big of a deal. Only slightly more hefty than Xkeeper's. And you have to take into mind most of it is done here instead of in an external CSS file. ____________________

Anyone who is permabanned should have their layout destroyed. Take Grey Mario for example. His layout is one of the larger ones. Why leave it there?

As for my layout, I've done everything I can to make it smaller without having to use an external CSS file.

because it takes too much work to remove it?

That's the only reason I could see, but I do think that's a good idea.

Hm. My layout is larger than I'd like it to be. Although from memory I did choose to include all the actual CSS information in the header rather than import it. Only the images are external, the CSS is done here.

I'm a control freak too which does lead to CSS bloat.

That's the only reason I could see, but I do think that's a good idea.

Click Username -> Edit User -> Select Header: Delete, Select Footer: Delete -> Submit.

Takes what, 30 seconds with page loading?

Hm, external CSS seems like cheating the layout size thingy, as all that data still needs to be downloaded

Plus there's a risk of the site going down and screwing the page up for many people...

Well, that's why I included all the CSS in the Header. Not so much the "cheating the layout size thingy".... but because there have been a few instances where my hosting has gone down, and I'd like to avoid the loading problem. If the pictures don't load that is much less of a problem than when the CSS does not load.

CSS probably makes up about 1/3rd my header or more. Some parts of it are just wierd- I have to have "height: 100%" AND "min-height:100%" to get different parts of the layout to display correctly, and I can't figure out why

As opposed to tables, where you just have "height=100%" and it never works

(hey, at least you don't have to waste any time trying to make it work, since you just know it won't)

The best part is that that layout could probably be done in less with a good table setup, assuming you don't mind losing the (suprisingly ugly looking) custom quotes and links.

EDIT: and now to fix that other issue, that wierd thing with <hr>'s and the image I tried to make background...

I might do that with mine too, since it seems it caused problems for some (it's hosted on acmlm.cjb.net:2, some ISP's might block that port) ...

1204 bytes with the CSS included still isn't bad anyway

Probably from copying it from board2 (I'd guess, I don't feel like checking) and that last one is a rather strange bug.

It isn't caused by my edit of his layout, though (or at least, shouldn't be) because it relies on completely different code.

Mine's not overly bloated, is it? I haven't actually looked at the code for it in.. A while.
