Some videos have annoying long intros and they only way to get around this is to link to the video, which defeats the point of embedding it.

To be fair I have never seen any embedded video in any site to skip to a specific time, it seems like only YouTube's own site has the ability to do it. Not sure if it's possible to work around it.
