Really busy day today since I'm going back to Boston for a week tonight and I'm also planning a really last minute birthday get-together for my partner. It's super-hella stressful. I got a cake made at the last minute today at Whole Foods and kinda demanded that they draw a cat on it even though they weren't supposed to. Then I picked up some fontina, asiago, parmesan and white cheddar cheeses to make a fancy mac and cheese dinner tonight.
She doesn't know I'm doing any of these things as far as I know. I'm really worried about whether people will come over because she's been really sad about 1) not having friends here and 2) spending her birthday alone while I'm 3000 miles away. I'm trying to show her that she does have friends and people do care about her and she won't be lonely and such. Sigh. I hope it works out.
I have to clean up the apartment and fold hella laundry and pack my clothes too. #stressful

Trying to futilely wrap my head around how the heck the WSTE-M5 Combat Shotgun in the Marathon trilogy reloads... It has a pump handle, but it's held with one hand... After firing, the user twirls it via the loop below the trigger... According to Durandal, "I won’t waste my time trying to explain the loading mechanism to you -- your primitive mind could never grasp its complex nature", but it seems like twirling it accomplishes absolutely nothing... Shells aren't visibly released out the sides, but it magically is reloaded...
Here's a pic of it:

Oh, just realised that you wouldn't be able to even slide the pump handle, the trigger's in the way! O.o
