Rainbow Sugar Cookies
I baked these for a potluck and they were kinda overlooked because I think no one eats rainbow sugar cookies like this at a “cool mid-to-late-20-something year olds” potluck. They’re more about that one vegan salad or the artichoke dip or whatever. But lucky for me, I got to eat tons of cookies. I think I ate like 90% of them and, no, I didn’t get any crumbs on my Bass Weejuns, thankfully—there was a “no shoes” rule in place. #tweeproblems
Provençal Tempura Drumsticks
I’m sure you guys remember this recipe only this time I actually deep-fried them instead of baking them. Oh, that and I’m missing a ton of spices but I still made do. These little fellers were fried in all the soybean oil I had left in the house, which I was super happy to use up. The downside: it tasted like soybean oil and soybean oil has the flavor of dreck.
Other than that, it came out really good and there was much rejoicing because for once the circumstances were right to create properly cooked deep-fried chicken! I made eight, which is enough for two meals but we ate all of them anyway. Oh well.
