Yeah, but the key variable is that you lived on the North Side and I live in a suburb just outside of the South Side, and I haven't had a ton of experience on the North Side because my parents get cranky when they have to go deep into Chicago because traffic, so the North Side has been very rarely seen.

Then again I also lived in the downtown area of San Francisco and rarely left that specific area (mainly time constraints), so my experience is probably 100% bias based on what I know.

Also while this map is 7 years old, it's still a decent general estimate of violence in the city.

I've been to the Caribbean, which does require a passport, but it doesn't feel like another country to me. I guess if I was from another state, it would feel like a different country. :shrugs:
