It's been a very busy, yet exhilariting summer, what with college graduation apporaching, a summer job, and preparing for board at Robert Morris University in order to begin pursuing a Bachelor's in Software Engineering this Fall. With boarding approaching, I've been buying/pickin up many things for the dorm. Some of the things are just technology or video games, in order to compete in games with students during our brief leisure time, while others are more practical. Like any other summer there have been a ton of yard/garage sales, as well as other deals.

So, Jul, what have been your recent pickups for this summer?
I'll start with my recent purchases this summer

Modern Tails doll

Retro Tails doll ("Borrowed" from lazy, older brother)
---

"Summer Games" for the Sega Genesis

"Racing Aces" for Sega CD

Both bought at Rogers, Ohio's massive weekly flea market.
---

Awesome video camera. Accepts VHS-C tapes for video and MMC cards for photo. Fully functional, got for $5 at --yard sale! Luckily, I have the means to dub these tapes to DVD or digital
----

Ooh! A Poptart...

What the...

It's an Android Oreo Poptart :specialed:! (Actually, it's just a cheap $50 4.3 ProScan internet tablet from Big Lots. It fits perfectly in a Poptart box or a 3DS case.)

"Media Center" (TV and RF Modulator borrowed from family)

DTV converter and Digital Antenna both purchased
-----

Microwave, Mini fridge, and water dispenser. (With Diet Cherry Coke )
Items to the side are other dorm supplies
---

And lastly, what appears to be CD cases.
Three of these bought for only $5 at a yard sale today.

The only thing I've really gotten this summer is an $80 1TB hard drive, which is currently plugged into my ancient old laptop for backups

Other than that I haven't actually gotten much. Hmm.

I got a blue 3DS XL and Animal Crossing: New Leaf (both are really great) back at the beginning of July and my cousin (who is in computer engineering and was trying to help me find a software engineering/comp sci job) sent me a copy of the book Cracking the Coding Interview (haven't gotten around to reading it yet); I don't think I have gotten anything else, but that might change soon =P

An old black late 2006 Macbook for £125.
Not that special-a-buy apart from the fact nobody asked the seller what kind of storage it had (128GB SSD installed by apple in late 2010).

Otherwise, not much.

A 2TB hard-drive, and Xbox 360 controller and quite a few Steam games. Oh, and some new trainers. Not much outside of that.

I got me a new laptop (lenovo ideapad Y510P) a couple days ago, which has contributed to my soon-to-be returning presence here. Not that anyone remembers me...

Other than that, my newfound income has funded a handful of XBL purchases...
