Has anyone successfully compiled leftover source code found in a game? I'm guessing not, because it's usually found in small fragments.

UnrealEd compiles all source code on its own for instance, so likely not on one's own.

Beatmania Best Hits looks promising if you want to try compiling a whole game.

Aside from that, anything written in assembly can be pieced back together much more easily than any other languages. The NES Control Deck Test Cartridge even has symbol definitions, which takes away most of the guesswork.

Shoot, that reminds me - I'm allowed to upload the source archive to the site, right? It's 31,920 KB so I'm not sure if it'd be allowed due to its huge size.

As for how to compile it - I have no idea.
