Probably the best thing living in a major city is all the little, privately-owned shops and stores scattered throughout. Just the other day I found a store that looked like a private thrift store but near the back had a lot of general items you'd see lying around the house, particularly for cleaning and kitchenry.

Going to go back one of these days and buy one of the literally million of a mug with a Chris Rock quote on it. I'm not a fan of him or anything, but it was quite something.

Just don't make an item with a negative with a negative cost or you will get banned.

There are a lot of shops around where I live and a few of them are privately owned. There's some good stuff too; especially the fruit and veg shop at the top of the street. Their grapes are more expensive, but of much better quality than Sainsbury's.

I always found something about a little mom and pop store have its own little charm to it that a big chain store just can't replicate. I always enjoy those little small businesses. Even if I can't afford to get anything because the prices might be a little higher, I'm always delighted to pop in and check them out.
