There is an unused credit sequence in Double Dragon for the NES. The graphics titles were found using a title editor (the content is already on TCRF), however, it would be cool if an advanced code hacker could find a code to access it ingame.

In case you don't remember, when you beat Double Dragon, you rescue Marian and then it abruptly goes back to the title screen. No The End, no Congratulations. So now that these graphics were found, I'm positive the credits sequence was programmed in, but never activated (or something).

Hopefully someone is able to hack this win.

I'm trying to figure it out, but it's not looking good. I found the code that swaps in the graphics bank for the credit sequence and performs some other currently unknown tasks, but there is at least one JSR that points to an invalid location in the fixed bank, which means the credits sequence was abandoned some time before the rest of the game was finished. I was also unable to find a tilemap for the chair and boot graphics, though it's possible (but unlikely) that it's stored in an unusual format.

Hack this win? That typo actually makes sense. I hope this ending is discovered too. Double Dragon is one of my favorite video game series.

Thanks for trying. Hopefully you'll be able to find something meaningful that can be accessed ingame.
