	Husband got fired from his job yesterday. Not December, but close enough. I work the holidays but hopefully not my birthday. But since my job is the only income, it might suck even more. But we get the Doctor Who Christmas Special, so that's one good thing. ____________________

A cool change has come in, so we've stopped baking in 37ºC heat. Doubt it will last though, they're predicting a really hot summer this year.

I got schoolwork, schoolwork, and more schoolwork, and then a long ass bus ride back to Chicago. I probably won't make it in time, though that's why I have my arrival on the 23rd.

Weirdly enough, without any kind of forewarning (It probably was on the weather forecast but normally this sort of stuff spreads by word of mouth beforehand) it heavily snowed this morning. It felt quite odd getting to college in the unexpected snow, but I actually enjoyed it. It's refreshing to see your usual travel route covered in snow.

I actually came into my college singing "let it snow" to my mates, which by that point the snow has stopped and it all melted away by the time I left college later. At least it didn't turn into ice

Which is weird because one winter it was so bad that it looked like an apocalypse.

It's also been pretty warm out here, with no snow any time soon. Sometimes, it looks like it is going to snow, but nothing has happened as of yet.

I hope he's able to find something quickly enough. December has a few birthdays: my son and my mother-in-law. My son's is on the 24th so it makes for a fun 2 day event. It basically guarantee's me Christmas Eve off since we don't get two holidays for Christmas anymore. ____________________

I was only kidding about this. I know the end of the world won't come this year. There are tons of rumors about the end of the world, though. I couldn't care less about them, because I know every last one of them are ridiculous for one reason or another.
