| Hello, I did some work on the Ninokuni DS page, and I think I will probably add prototype differences for it when I'll get hold of the ROM of the promotional Level-5 Premium Platinium TGS 2009 demo. It has very different interface graphics, and maybe hopefully some scrapped content? However since I do not have the PS3 remake, but watched extensive walkthroughs of it, could someone who can view the files inside the PS3 version verify it? The things I think are unused are: 1/There are two Ghibili-animated sequences (when Oliver first enters Ninokuni, following Shizuku through the little black forest creatures; and the other one is when he first enters Goronail town, which is the one used in that trailer) that have been completely replaced with CG cutscenes. Are the files for the original animated sequences still there? 2/In the sound rip for the PS3 version: http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/flac-mp3-ni-no-kuni-ps3-complete-110559/ There are some sounds which seems to be unused in the PS3 version, anyone could confirm? They are: *13-Victory-Reprise: This is actually not used in the DS version, but was in the TGS demo, here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR6xfLXMJWc&feature=related *50 Goodbye: I didn't encounter this at any point during the DS game, but I read in JP guides (no video is on the net, though..) there is a second ending ONLY IN THE DS VERSION (I ripped the files and it is real, seems to be Oliver and Marc and Shelly (Maru/Ester (US) alter-ego) finally finishing their car). You have to beat an overpowered boss though after finishing the 100-floor bonus dungeon, and i'm still in the 10th one... Maybe that music plays there? *Another thing, 20 and 35 ARE used, for the Casino Town and Moya Island, in both DS and PS3 versions , and 50 is used for the Slot Machine game in the DS version, dunno about PS3 version 3/About the DS version: I have found strings for a debug menu for the battle engine, but no way to re-enable it. I found also 15 grey test rooms but file-swapping them gives wrong environmental effects and wrong NPCs. I tried to do a map modifier code but couldn't figure it out... As food for thought, Hino showcased a build of the PS3 version on JPN TV with debugging features enabled (a free camera, and a god mode). |
