Apparently stag019 posts through me now. Oh well, more $postcount++; for me.
Anyway, I suppose this is a good thread idea. Post pictures of your christmas trees in here (I'll get a photo of mine in a couple days, it's not finished yet).

stag's tree, pre-decoration
He says he'll upload more pictures after he decorates it.

Edit: Linked instead of embedded because of weird glitch.

I believe my family's stopped bothering with christmas trees since last year. Too much of a pain in the ass or something. That, and it'd be a bitch to find a good place in a living room to put the three in. Though, it was epic when we had the table-top christmas tree with the rotating light disc platform. We kept that thing going through the year...or two. >_>

I just took a huge shit and now the office smells a bit.

Since moving to a new country we haven't unpacked Christmas decorations. We always put up a fake Christmas tree -- every year. Looks pretty real and it's always been great. Since we kind of live down on this shitty driveway now, I don't think we'll be putting up lights or a tree or decorations.

But, Christmas isn't even a week off yet, so things could change. The killer view makes up for it regardless.

Ours is up since last week, like every year

But my webcam obviously can't go all the way there, so I can't get a picture of it

My father's/stepmother's was up last weekend. It was just some store-bought build-up kind that seemed aging.

I assume the one at my house has been put up by now...

I'll be nice to see it again when I go home.

We put out a fake tree that looks rather realistic each year, and decorate it liberally, so many ornaments for it. No method of picture taking though. We used to cut down our own tree each year, but eventually it was decided unanimously that it was too much of a pain.

Won't get one until I get back home, which is on the 20th.. well, we won't put up the tree until the 23rd, and even then, it will be the same one as last year (plastic. ) Of course, I might give a picture of it, when that time comes. Putting up a tree now is just too early.

My family has been using the same fake Christmas tree since before I was born . It looks good though so I guess there isn't really a need to get a new one.

Ogre and I have never had much desire to put up a Christmas tree. It involves work, the cats would knock all of it down, and we're pretty much apathetic towards decorating anyway. My mom sends a wreath every year, so we just put that up. No hassle, no fuss, no kitty interference.

Living in fifty acres in the middle of nowhere had the advantage of plenty of piñon trees, meaning that we could have a real one every year. Our house had a high ceiling, and one year we even cut a tree that was at least twelve feet tall. We had to use a stepladder to decorate it.

And now I live in the city, in a house with barely enough room for the five-foot plastic tree. Heh.

First real tree we've had in about 23 years. Not long before my sister was born, 8 before I was born.

I like how the second photo is intensely bright.

I don't know why I put this here.
Our tree was up nice and quick, first of the month.

Same as we put it up every year.

It's pretty fantastic looking, I'll get up a photo soon.

That's me. I vastly prefer real trees, but nobody wants to deal with the mess.

While real trees are nice, I'd mauch rather perfer a fake tree because of the same reasons. But the tree we have now is good enough for this year at least. As for the lights though, they must be replaced every year because they burnout. And while I was thinking of getting LEDs to fix the problem, there're to hard to find.

My mom insists on getting a real tree. It is nice, except getting it in and out of the house. And the decorations... We only fit half our decorations on a 7 foot tree...

Yeah, the problem with real trees is that they leave needles everywhere. And they have to be watered. And sometimes they get sap all over you. Plus, bigger ones often have trouble fitting through the door, which is why piece-by-piece trees often work a lot better.

Come to think of it, my favorite type of tree is a real one that's only about three feet tall. Easy maintenance
