Found this in the ROM...



You can access that screen by using this code while in the debug menu: $18AD0C:6002 (Game Genie = AL0V-TA2N), and selecting ????MM???? as your level.

Also, using this code: $18AD14:6002 (Game Genie = AL0V-TA2Y) will allow you to see the "JB Tips" screen while in the debug menu. That's the screen that has a message from the programmer giving you 54 lives.

Working on more info.

Also found this controller cheat:

Pause the game and press these buttons on your controller:

A B C B B A A A A C A A A C C C A C B A = Clear Stage (go to next level).

There's at least on more controller cheat that I didn't see on the internet. Will post as soon as I get all the info on it.

It's for the Sega Genesis.

Also, I just did some checking on Youtube, and it looks like that "Immortality" cheat has been found before. :-( Oh well.

All of them are pretty well known codes.

54 lives is obtained normally by going to the highest part of the first stage and jumping ... left, I think? It's been years since I've played this game.

Thanks Foxhack. I also just found it on another site as well.

I'll post a little more info I found just so this thread wasn't a complete waste.

The controller cheats start at ROM address $004900.

The button format in the ROM:

A = 1000
B = 0010
C = 0020

FF00 signals the end of that particular cheat string.

You can easily make Game Genie codes (or hack your ROM) to shorten the number of buttons you need to press by inserting "FF00" towards the beginning of the cheat strings. Example: $004902:FF00 = Pause game and press "A" to enable Clear Stage cheat. That cheat is normally 20 button presses.

An alternate way to get into the debug menu...

Use this code (or hack it into your ROM): $17B620:6002 (Game Genie = AL5B-RA3A). If you're using an emulator with the GG code, you'll need to reset the game with the code turned on.

Here's how to always have a couple of the cheats permanently turned on (without having to enter any controller cheats)...

To be able to drop down through the floor at any time (by holding 'Down' and then pressing C), enter this code (or hack it into your ROM): $17FBF4:4E71 (Game Genie = RH7V-R61Y)

To be able to cycle through all the weapons at any time (Down + A + B + C): $17FB3C:6002 (GG = AM7V-RA36).
