That is incredibly sad to hear . It's sad to see that an innocent man is going to lose thousands of dollars (or pounds I guess) for such a stupid reason. At the bottom of the page where the donor said "And now I can't afford to have children with my own wife - it's crippling me financially" is just terrible

It doesn't matter whether the couple was gay or not. The man specifically said he would do it ONLY if he was "assured he would not have to be involved in the upbringing of their young boy and girl or have any financial responsibility towards them." Clearly, some promises (and possibly some laws) were broken.

It is why kids born here in the US via sperm donations have an insanely difficult time to find out who their dads are because of this very issue. Many of the men chose to remain anonymous because they fear they will have to pay child support. I think that is a shame because as an individual, having a sense of where you come from is very important. Why should these kids be denied this information?

I honestly had no pan to change this into a gay rights arguement, I was just saying my opinion, which is mostly reinforced when I see those child support groups for kids with gay parents.

I've heard of a few studies that found same-sex parents did just as good of a job (if not better) than different-sex ones.
