In the NTSC version of Donkey Kong Country Returns in the movies folder there are attract01.thp, attract02.thp and attract03.thp and i think the pal version of them attract01_pal.thp, attract02_pal.thp and attract03_pal.thp: i watched them and they look like identicals, but they have slightly different gameplay and different number of frames. Why they needed to do 2 versions of the same attract and put the pal version in the ntsc one? Can someone check the PAL and NTSC-J version to see if they are there too?

Also, on the Content to Expand page i noticed that "DKCR" supposedly has an unused 4-player mode. Does someone know more about?

PAL50/PAL60 modes.

PAL stuff is often put on NTSC discs, and vice versa, so...

Well, PAL runs on only 50fps while NTSC runs 60fps, so that explains the different number of frames. It's hard to tell any differences in gameplay when the videos aren't synchronized to compensate for the differing frame rates.


I can tell the sizes are somewhat different, but what are the actual resolutions on the videos?

That's not true, actually. PAL60, as the name indicates, runs 60/30fps. PAL50 does run 50/25, though.
