It's cloudy and in the 60s over here. I'm contemplating going out today but I don't really have anywhere in mind. I'm thinking maybe I can have a little sushi picnic in the park and then head over to Allston for some groovy thrift store shopping.

I don't know, like, temperature-wise it's a pretty nice day but clouds just dampen the mood. I want to see that deep azure. I want to bask in the sun's rays.

I actually wish we had a thunderstorm over here so I'd feel less bad about wanting to stay in.

I just want it to be nice and sunny because niceness and sunniness are two very neat things to have. It doesn't even have to be nice enough to poetically describe with oxymorons, just "vanilla nice".

I just want it to be warm enough for me to wear my new skirt already.

This thread is seriously lacking on the complaint department. It's summer ... it's time to complain about the heat and humidity.

It was 90F today, felt like nearly 100 ... terribly hot and humid ... it's still pretty warm, actually, at 1am.

We had some crazy thunderstorms the past few days but now they're gone and in its place is yet another totally vicious heatwave. I swear, it's supposed to hike up to the upper 90s this weekend. That's sweet because I'm probably going to be spending the 1st at home reading books, drinking OJ and chilling out in front of the fan.

Rain and flooding everywhere, bits of roads floating down a stream that wasn't there before and people falling over because they can't see where they're standing.

So my kind of weather, basically. Lots of water destruction over here, but happily, not in my area. On the upside, it kills the heat.

Lost power for a few days due to a sudden storm.

We had heard on the radio that it could be much longer before we regained power, and this caused some rather serious concern and also some unnecessary family drama, so we're quite glad that's done with.

It was, however, quite hard to sleep in the heat without air conditioning. I'm not even sure if what I experienced can be accurately described as sleep.

I knew this would be a terrible summer months ago when it was ludicrously warm in the winter.

It's getting so hot here that there has been a train derailment and roads buckling due to the heat.

It got up to 103 degrees today, supposedly, and that in itself triggered sudden storms that appeared as fast as they dissipated, but it's now marginally cooler. 97 degrees, according to ABC.

...This is like freaking Texas summer.

We had some nice hell on earth heat. Sometimes 90, sometimes over 100 alone. Yeah, this is definitely going to make some kind of record summer one way or another.

People bitching about the heat brings me joy. Can't wait until you guys whine about how cold it is.

Usually when people say something about the heat, I'll chime in with, "At least you don't have to ride your bike to work in it." Yep, that's what I get to do. Ride my bike in 90 degrees to work around hot ovens and stoves. Thankfully the walk-in freezer is there, which I can tolerate for about five seconds before running out.

But in all seriousness, I'm just used to the heat, so it doesn't bother me.

It is 86, yet feels like 92 and its raining. The humidity is going to be a bitch today. That's the part of the heat that I hate. Figures, it rains on my day off. Oh well, that's summer for you.
