Get off my cloud. Any mid-tier gamer or Steam or /v/ user knows them.

Does "Gaben" ring a bell?

I know Gabe, have no clue who the other guy is.

Bobby Kotick is the man in charge of Activision. He's typically characterized as the wrong kind of person to head up a game publisher, because his focus is 100% on profit and 0% on quality of product. He is often portrayed as having devil horns, a tail, burning eyes, or other easily-created-in-photoshop evil traits. This is mostly because he already has a wicked demonic grin that he wears whenever he has his photo taken.

Gabe Newell is one of the men in charge of Valve. By all accounts he's a pretty chill dude who believes video games are awesome, although he doesn't like developing for consoles as it's a pain in the ass. He is, however, very rich, and hasn't released Half Life 2: Episode 3 yet. He gets the same treatment as Kotick, except instead of an evil grin he's fat and has a slight squint.

Cheech & Chong are (were?) a comedy team who basically made marijuana jokes and made fun of the whole 'free love' thing. Neither is particularly attractive. I heard they got busted for actually distributing pot.

I personally don't like this shirt, because I object to the word dyke and I'm not sure if you can succeed at reclaiming it, but I wish you well in your endeavor.

Hehe!

I also had the Idea a year ago to make a Shirt for myself for the gamescom.

It was a half naked Mario with a Six-pack and a tight jeans and he was holding a Fireflower with his teeth. The title said: IM A HOT VIDEO GAMER.

But couldnt do the shirt anymore...Because I had no time for the gamescom anymore, oh well.

Goooooo research!

Also, it's because Gabe could be 'shopped into easily looking like Chong, same goes for Bobby = Cheech.

I think it's just the word "dyke" in itself being a hot button for some. It's a good attention-getter shirt in either direction though, that I see!

I'm amused by the gag, but I can see how it's a bit off-putting.

You're probably not in the right place to make a judgment because in fact the word dyke has totally been reclaimed by the lesbian community. Don't be offended for us when this doesn't even apply to you.

If I intended to derail, I'd be discussing damns instead of dykes!

... Dams like these?

Cafepress is a fun website. It's really easy to make a lot of products, and all you need is the ability to make images. Great way to make a gift shop for a website/business/band/sports team/whateveryouwanthere.

I have only seen the word used in a pejorative context; this is my first time seeing it used for any reason but to disparage lesbians. So I thought of my memories of my friends being verbally abused before I even considered the reasoning behind the shirt. Seeing that design made me uncomfortable. That's all. No fake pity for feel good points. I didn't mean to come across as offended, because I wasn't.

On the plus side, now that I've spent so long staring at the shirt and deciding what I think about it, I'd probably laugh if I saw it in real life. Discomfort: Vanquished?

Sorry I didn't make myself more clear to begin with.

The visual gags are pretty good too.

Oh, also Aux, I'm so sorry about the drama. I didn't mean to.
