In other news, some dick on youtube decided to steal my video that I showed you guys of the updated model. I don't mind if people want to use my material for stuff but the guy completely ripped off my video and even my description. I almost feel like putting my name(Cuber456) into the model somewhere just in case he decides to also copy my download link as well. It's a load of BS........

At best, just put a README or other such file in an archive of the file with your name and details. Sure, it could be removed later, but...

Option 2 says put a "Made By: Cuber456" on the texture, if possible, in a small spot usually out of sight. Non-intrusive, but if anyone tries to look at it, they'll realize that it was taken off someone else.

Well this is interesting. Literally overnight, the user who stole my video had their account terminated by youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/user/Sambranauc

I don't know if I had anything to do with it but considering his videos were all just weird fishy stuff, that is probably why. I guess I won't put my username in the model files and will just stick them in the readme since the former will be more work than I want to do. I don't necessarily care if someone makes a video of the model at all or uses parts of my videos in their own videos. However, it is completely different to just rip off a video and its description. That is what pissed me off.

Anyway, sorry for my rambling. Expect the download files to be released tonight or within the next day. I'll be putting the link to the download in the youtube video. I'll also update here to say that the download is ready.

I have kept my promise and uploaded the files for the model. The link is in the description of the youtube video for the new model. I tried to write a decent README but I know that it isn't perfect. You can ask me questions if you wish. If you actually go forth and try to restore the model further(whether it be with textures or you add actors back into the room) please let me know. I also want to see how much of the room we can restore .

No problem . I'm just happy to actually have a semi decent model for this map now.

For people who are lazy, the download link for the model is in the description for this video:

I just tested and the result is perfect despite the absence of trees, bushes and others. I did not know it was possible to make a new ISO without restriction with GCR. It will perhaps give me ideas for the future!

Very nice work from you!

Did you visit all the unused rooms of the game? Some are very coriaceous to visit.

Oh I hope this gives you new ideas for the future! You always seem good at finding unused content in this game.

I have visited a lot of the unused rooms from the debug menu, the ones that will load anyway. Some rooms can just be stubborn to load for whatever reason. Aren't there some rooms listed on the debug menu that don't exist in the retail version anymore?

For me, one of the bigger questions I want answered is that damn "3rd Controller (A): Demo 23" on the debug menu. It sucks that we have no idea what it does. It also crashes the game(at least on an emulator) when it is on and Demo 23 is loaded. It also makes me question why it says Demo 23 and not Demo (any number here). What makes Demo 23 so important?? I'm hoping somebody will figure out this mystery.

Demo23 is the scene in which Link (Or, rather, Tetra and her crew) rescue Maggie, Mila and Aryll from the Forsaken Fortress- the cutscene which occurs right before you start the battle of the Helmaroc King. I have no idea what a 3rd controller would do. Maybe it had something to do with cutscene debug stuff, and Demo23 was the last cutscene they used it on? Similarly to how the very first option on the menu is the Room of Illusion in Ganon's Tower, suggesting that that was the last thing they worked on in the game.

Edit: So, on a normal console with both the debug menu and mode enabled, turning that option ON and selecting Demo23 crashes the game- but it also turns on a crash debugger not dissimilar to the ones in OoT and MM. I wonder if the debugger is what that option is meant to turn on. Then again, it could be that the thing the option enables was removed. IE, maybe a program for making the game's STB (cutscene) files.

I don't think that the debugger is special to having the Demo 23 option ON. I think that debugger will pop up whenever the game crashes. For some reason, I remember seeing a youtube video where someone purposely crashed the game and a debugger came up. I feel that your second guess is more likely. It could have activated some other program that no longer exists in the retail version.

Just out of curiosity, what would be the most proper way to dissect this option? Would it be best to use the disassembler option in Dolphin like how Dark Linkaël used it to search for the debug menu? I think that is how he did it anyway......

The crash debugger mentions the instruction that caused it to crash, so I think I'll bring up the debugger and write down that instruction. Then we can use Dolphin's dis-assembler to find that instruction and see what it's connected to.

That sounds like a good idea. It would give us something to go on and perhaps you, Dark Linkaël, or I could dissect this with the disassembler. It would be great if we could get to the bottom of this debugging feature.

It remains difficult to find other stuff in TWW, it is well researched since our visit and before. However, I will try to continue searching though I am not a professional hacker.

The unused room to visit the hardest it is TF_03. To visit it, we must put all the rooms in TF_05, but keeping his room first. TF_03 and TF_05 are almost indentiques.

I really have no idea for the Demo 23... But on TCRF, I put this on the Talk page of TWW:

00000a78 000055 803f7298 1 .sbss d_s_menu.o
00000a78 000004 803f7298 4 l_startID d_s_menu.o

It might be stupid, but...

When Demo23 crashes the game and the debugger comes up, the first thing it shows that seems to have crashed it is "getName__10JUTNameTabCFUs." The debugger then seems to tell us what this code line belongs to- JUtility.a and JUTNameTab.cpp.

What's interesting is that in TWW's cutscene files (.STB), nearly all the chunks have a name that starts with J- JStudio, JACT, JSND, JPTC, ect. While this name scheme might be a coincidence, is it possible that this "JUtility.a" could be related to whatever generated the .STB file? I know it's probably a stupid assumption, but it's interesting nonetheless.

It could also be, however, that JUtility.a just handles how the cutscene files are executed.

Edit: Another thing, unrelated. Remember that "drgn_shield" item that I mentioned earlier? Well, I rewrote a branch instruction and made the regular shield's code jump to drgn_shield's, and when Grandma gave Link the shield the Magic Armor appeared in the inventory. So drgn_shield is the Magic Armor.

(Researching PowerPC/GC code was very informative, though)

I'm just wondering, is it possible to load Room1 through Room6 of TF_03 through the debug menu or can you only load Room0 of TF_03? I looked at those rooms in Wind Viewer and those rooms don't have starting points for Link. If it is possible to load Room1 through Room6 through the debug menu then you could probably hack in a starting point. Would this be feasible?

I see that this is in the Framework.map file but I am not quite sure what to make of these. What exactly are they? Are they references in a disassembler to functions? For example, if I go to 803f72a6 in the Dolphin disassembler, would I be looking at opcodes that are specific for demo23? This does look interesting though.

Framework.map gives the names of all the main functions in the .dol file- so yes, if you went there, you'd see the opcodes for that demo23.

A simpler way to do that, though, would be to take framework.map, rename it to GZLE01 (or the ID for your region) and put it in Dolphin/User/Maps.

For Demo 23, I would do tests to try to find out more, but it is not certain that I get to really know the utility of this option.

It is not very difficult to change the file Menu.dat. It is very easy! Just change the technical name of the room and put another. This is also true for the numbers of rooms from one location like dungeons. By cons, it is impossible to visit TF_03 from the debug menu. The reason? The file Stage.arc is only reserved for only the first room. Put a starting point for Link not change anything. The only way to visit TF_03 is to replace TF_05, but keeping the entrance room.

I'd say to add with GCR could give me ideas for the future... Well, I am not mistaken! I just added one more place in the game "TF_08"! This is the copy of TF_03 with the first room! It works perfectly! No need to change TF_03 to visit this place!

I did not think it would be possible to add a new place in the game, it's crazy!

I would put at disposal the files you need to be able to visit TF_08, the playable version of TF_03.

I was bored today, so I spent a few hours replacing the remaining Japanese text on the stage select menu with Glitterberri's translations:

There's still work to be done, like the overlapping "Day" and "X:Cycle" text.

Over all, what do you guys think of it? How did I do? If we can resolve the overlapping problem, I think I'll make a patch for translating the entire menu into English.

There are a few different points that need to be brought up because I feel they are important. First off, I want to talk about this info from the talk page.

http://tcrf.net/Talk:The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Wind_Waker#Rooms_6_and_7_of_the_Wind_Temple

From what I understand, there seems to be bit more info on the talk page than the main page for this subject. Looking at the pics, it seems like we even know where this unused room was suppose to go unless Wind Viewer placed the room randomly. Wouldn't this be nice material to add to the "kaze" section of unused rooms?

The next thing I want to address is this bit of info.

http://tcrf.net/Talk:The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Wind_Waker#Door_leftover.3F

In the Forbidden Fortress, there are small rectangular doors underneath the big doors which, at first, appear unused. However, according to the finder, "...the door underneath is where the object is located. So it seems as if they are not leftovers, they are part of the object". It appears as if these doors are used. Even if they are used, I feel that they should be added to the main page as oddities. My main reason is because you can never see these smaller doors in normal gameplay.

This is my third and last point I would like to make. Looking at the first two points I made, Wind Viewer could be a valuable tool to find many oddities. Have all the rooms been checked out with Wind Viewer?

Give me some input on the points I made.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
