Some people may have seen me talking about how I'd like to make a blog on crap I want to rant about, and I just recently wrote a HUGE list of things I'd like to see in a Zelda game, and it's triggered a decision that I want a blog and I was wondering, what do you guys recommend in the way of blog websites and hosting?

It's some really lightweight open-source blog software I wrote (with contributions from some other dudes). The formatting system is Textile. HTML works in it too.

Though I still refuse to blog because I feel anything worth using has to prove itself over the course of years--that is, new internet mediums. Not so picky with other things. :p

Blogspot works (or worked, haven't updated it in nearly two years) fairly well for me. I can't imagine it's changed so fundamentally to where it's a terrible choice these days.

I've never been attacked myself, just my dash ends up flooded with bullshit at random because people I thought were cool became total dicks. I don't really post much on there anymore though. Not enough quality to be attracted as much as I used to be.

Old art got onto a bad art blog (that I had just luckily happened to been subscribing to), but thankfully it was removed when I asked. Got me off my ass to delete my old dA account out of panic, but the point is still made.

Still fun to just muck around with, though.

Also, ZeroOne, I had just remembered that I had to maintain a blog for my class last fall on Wordpress. You might want to check that site out. At least I think it's called Wordpress. Definitely Wordsomething, because one is a free online blogging site and the other's a paid program to customize and further enhance the online blog.
