And still going strong!

Basically, the story happened Wednesday morning at 9AM. I had to work a double that day and I decided to buy a 5 hour Energy and down it with Gatorade. To basically keep myself perked up for the 12 hour shift ahead of me.

Work went smoothly and I even got to get home and take my dad out to eat for his birthday. But the real fun never started until about 2 this morning.

Already going on 17 hours with no sleep; I decided to read one of the many books I picked up from the library and I started having mild vision problems. After this, I passed out for about 10 minutes, waking up to hallucinations and freaking the hell out. Thankfully, dad heard me and quickly came into my room and pinned me down as I was freaking out. After the hallucinations wore off, I was basically running on adreneline and it's now starting to wear out. I mean, I'm calm now, tired. But calm.

Called my doctor at around 10 this morning and I need to switch medications. Also, no more 5 hour energy shots and more time exercising. Also, I am due for an appointment for bloodwork in the middle of May.

Now, I'm new to panic attacks. Some doctors think it's because of stress, some doctors think its something else. But I'm on this medication to help me mellow out more often.

Reason why I am not posting this on the Officers club is because "Ask someone who hallucionated and has to stay up until 10PM Anything". If this thread belongs in crazy then it wont harm me none.

Have you been overusing your E-Cig? (Are you still using it?) Nicotine can cause some strange effects as the dose creeps up. (You know, until you die at the higher levels.)

What were you hallucinating?

I still use my E-cig but it's 0MG of Nicotine. I only use it when I go out and I just want to look a little dapper.

The hallucinations I vividly remember being stupid and silly. But mind you, it was total darkness in my room, and while I was not asleep yet; I literally saw a bright light and I immedietly opened up my eyes to see like purple swirls focus on my vision. In total darkness, I was able to see all of this.

Might not sound freaky but if this shit comes out of nowhere I think anyone can agree you might flip your shit as well.

Also sorry if I sound irratable. Or if I am making spelling mistakes.

Nah, you're fine.

Even if you do get irritable/typotastic, it's only the fault of sleep.

Also, how many 5-hour energy shots were you using per day?

I usually only take five hour shots when I work doubles. So one a week. But that's only because of relationship, 2nd job, Grandmother, Family, and whatnot. I rarely ever sleep and have time for myself. Thankfully when I do I always make it clear that no one disturbes me and only person who should be calling me are close friends, mom, and GF

E- Wow, that was not clear. Basically, on days I don't work doubles I also have to deal with the whole family, GF, etc. Not one days that I have doubles.

Panic attacks are not fun. The only way I got rid of mine was to separate myself from the attack and then attack the attack. Thus as my brain screams "AAAAAAAAA" I then start telling it that the attack itself is a worse enemy than whatever it is over (or of course if it is spontaneous then it's doubly annoying) and, eventually, kill it through getting angry at it.

Not that that's probably the "best" way but it's what I do.

Do you take any form of medication to help prevent it? Do you come across this often?

Also, one more hour and I can go to bed. I got work at 4:45PM EST so I plan on sleeping for more than 12 hours when I hit the hay.

E- Might as well share a story on my first one. Which was kinda similar. But instead of visual things it was more or less me "Failing" and certain things. Like I would lose track on what I was saying, or I would stutter so bad that I would become so insecure that I thought that everyone was not only understanding me (Why wouldnt they) or they would put words in my mouth. Furthering assuming things. And my minds adds that on and on.

When I flipped out I basically turtled up. Butt on floor and my arms to my head while screaming in emotional agony. About 23 hours later I went to bed. Due to adrenaline and the whole sort.

No, no medication whatsoever. Never have had any medication whatsoever. I have had periods (usually when I had intense stress in the past) where the panic attacks happened a lot, at least until I began fighting them with my rage.

Never quite as bad as you say there, it would try to get that bad but then I would focus the entirety of my will at it and tell it to stop and die. It would eventually die after focusing enough rage at it to break the infinite loop that causes it (usually ones related to, "I am screwed" or "Death existential failure ahhhhhhh")
